Figures you can act on

Weighings become a growth curve, not just a list of numbers.

ViFerm turns measurements into charts and figures you can follow at a glance. You can spot a stall early, see the gap against the breed reference, and find the animals that need attention.

  • Weight development across the whole growing period
  • Average daily gain worked out between weighings
  • Comparison with the reference figures available for the breed
  • Thresholds and warnings for significant deviations
  • One animal at a time, or the whole herd at once
  • Standardised weights at 200 and 365 days, worked out with the same formula as on the zootechnical certificate

More than a digital herd register

Record an event once. ViFerm works out what comes next.

What you enter creates the due dates and the work that follows, without you having to add each task by hand.

After a heat is recorded

ViFerm works out the next cycle and puts the date in the calendar.

After a mating or insemination

A pregnancy check is scheduled. If the pregnancy is confirmed, the platform works out the likely calving window.

Before reproduction

Pedigree is checked back through four generations. Where the records are incomplete, you get a warning instead of an assumed answer.

After a treatment or vaccination

You can schedule the next dose and follow the withdrawal periods for milk and meat.

After a weighing

Growth and average daily gain are recalculated, and the next weighing can go straight into the calendar.

Every due date in one calendar

See what needs attention today.

When you open the platform you find the work that is due, the work that is overdue, and what is coming up.

  • Pregnancy checks
  • Expected heats
  • Calvings coming up
  • Vaccinations and treatments
  • Scheduled weighings
  • Weanings
  • Anything else the farm has set

Nothing is lost when it is done: it stays on the animal's record and in the farm's history.

Running the farm, not just recording the animals

Groups, ear tags and the day's work — all in one place.

Beyond each animal's own record, ViFerm organises the groups and the ear tags, keeps track of what is due, and lets you work even when there is no signal in the barn.

Groups and quarantine

You put animals into groups such as maternity, young stock or finishing, and you can pick several animals while the group is being created. An animal under treatment can be moved into a quarantine group without leaving the herd.

Turning the bull out

You record the period a bull is kept with a group of females. ViFerm follows the females that were exposed and works out the possible calving window for each of them. You can add or take out females for as long as the exposure is open.

Ear tag stock

You enter the ear tags you bought once, either as a range of numbers or as a list. When you record a calf you pick a free ear tag, and ViFerm takes it off the list, so it cannot be given out a second time.

Notifications

You get notifications in the app and by email for pregnancy checks, calvings coming up, withdrawal periods ending, and heifers reaching the age of first mating. Each person gets them in the language they chose.

Reports

You can build reports on the herd, reproduction, treatments and weight development for the period you choose. Reports can be downloaded for your archive or for use outside the platform.

In the barn, with no signal

You can record a calving, a treatment, a weighing or a new animal even when the phone has no signal. The data is kept and synced by itself when the connection comes back, with nothing lost and nothing recorded twice.

Access and working together

The same records, whatever the device and whoever is using them.

Phone, tablet and computer

ViFerm runs in the browser and can be added to a phone's home screen like an app. Nothing to install from the Play Store or the App Store.

Roles and permissions

The owner can add staff, administrators or the vet. Each person gets only what their role actually needs.

History of changes

It stays on record who entered or updated something, so the team's work can be followed.

Import from Excel

An existing herd comes in from an .xlsx file, without typing in every animal by hand.

Exporting your data

You can download the farm's records at any time, either to work with them outside the platform or as a complete backup. The data stays yours and is not sold.

Everyone in their own language

The platform reads in Romanian, German, Hungarian, English, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese, and the language is set per account, not per farm. The owner can work in one language while the stockman or the vet works in another, on the same records.

A clear picture of the whole herd

From the overall position down to a single animal's history.

The main screen shows the herd, the work coming up and whatever needs attention. From there you go straight to an animal's page, to the calendar, to reports, or to the health and reproduction records.

The ViFerm main screen on a computer: 1,601 animals, 1,292 female, 309 male, 289 young stock, the month's calendar and today's work.
The same screen on a phone, with the tab bar at the bottom: Home, Animals, Repro, Calendar, Health.

The screenshots use a demonstration herd of 1,601 animals. It is a data set for testing and for showing the platform, not a real farm.

Any herd size

Suited to a small farm and to a large herd alike.

The platform works the same way whether you keep a few dozen animals or more than a thousand. Core features are not removed or hidden according to the size of the farm.

ViFerm is for managing the animals. It does not try to replace your accounting software, your crop records or your feed management.

Common questions

Questions about cattle records and herd management

What can I record for each animal?

Every animal has its own record with ear tags, RFID, breed, date of birth, parents, offspring, reproduction events, treatments, vaccinations, weighings, milk production and the full history of entering and leaving the herd.

How do I follow heats, matings, pregnancies and calvings?

Once a reproduction event is recorded, ViFerm works out the dates that follow and puts them in the calendar. You can follow expected heats, matings and inseminations, pregnancy checks, calvings and weanings.

Can ViFerm check how closely a cow and a bull are related?

Yes. Before a mating or insemination, the platform checks pedigree back through four generations. Where important records are missing, ViFerm shows a warning rather than assuming the animals are unrelated.

How are treatments and vaccinations handled?

You can record the condition, the treatment, the dose, when it was given and who gave it. Where it matters, the withdrawal periods for milk and meat are tracked as well.

How do I follow weight and growth?

Each weighing goes into the animal's history. ViFerm draws the growth curve, works out average daily gain, and lets you compare the result with the reference figures available for that breed.

Can I import my herd from Excel?

Yes. Existing animals can be imported straight from an .xlsx file. Once the data has been checked, it becomes individual animal records — you do not have to type the whole herd in by hand.

Does ViFerm report to the national livestock register for me?

No, not at this time. ViFerm is for organising and running the herd internally. The reporting and the official steps you owe the authorities in your country stay separate.

What does ViFerm cost?

ViFerm is completely free. There is no subscription, no trial that runs out and no features locked behind a payment. We show no advertising and we do not sell user data.

Can I use ViFerm in the barn, where I have no signal?

Yes. You can record animals, calvings, treatments and weighings even when the phone has no signal. The entries are kept on the phone and sync with the farm's account by themselves as soon as the connection is back.

Can several people work on the same farm?

Yes. The farm owner can invite staff, administrators or the vet, and can set what each of them sees and changes. ViFerm keeps a record of who entered every piece of information.

What happens to my data if I stop using ViFerm?

Your data stays yours. You can export it at any time, together with the farm's history. If you stop using ViFerm, the account and the farm can be deleted from the app for good.
